All the main tournaments for 2017 have finished so what are you guys’ best players and teams of this year?

I don’t know what the best team this year was but for me the best player was RYUJEHONG

there have been a lot of standout players from different parts of the year so its very difficult to pin it on one, but zunba and ryujehong are both good bets.

As for best team, all teams have had a lot of ups and downs this year but if i had to choose a best from each region it would probably be:

NA: EnVyUs
EU: Gigantti/NiP
KR: Lunatic-Hai

With Rogue counting as an NA team.

I think in terms of best additions Fate and KariV brought Immortals to new heights. They made the team twice as good. EFFECT was also a fantastic pickup. I also think the legend of Dafran should be mentioned. In terms of teams, Runaway and GC Busan both came from nothing to dominate, while the Rogue dynasty was amazing to witness. The rise and fall of Selfless was amazing to see, the resurgence of Envy, there were so many great teams. But Lunatic-Hai’s consistant dominance was something we haven’t seen before

effect would definitely be the best roster move of the year maybe next to giganti's roster changes. The IMT lineup's contenders struggles would balance out the good placings at contenders s0 and BEAT invitational.

USA vs SK was probably my single most favorite series of overwatch to spectate. The new spectator changes + how nutty the set was overall made it that more special (in spite of the patch that it was being played on)

Yeah, it sounds like their team was already mostly finalized during LGD's dominance. Would have loved to see most of the MY roster along with Undead and a few other players at the top of their game to form a 10 ish man roster. Hopefully they make some mid season additions.

That and I'm also looking forward to seeing if Eileen will still be as strong as he was next OWL season so he also gets him chance to play for the Dragons.

Idk where, but I heard that the coach of MY just picked up Diya and Undead because they were the best Hitscan players. MY with Undead, 5King and the current tank would have been infinitely better

My favourite match was Apex Season 4 Grand Final. Incredible series between GC Busan and RunAway that was full of dramatic twists accompanied by a side of superhuman gameplay. My heart was broken by the final result but my god it was a fantastic spectacle.

Agreed. I'm an out of the closet weeb so I'm really hoping Japan is able to create at least one team that can really compete at the world stage. even better would be an OWL caliber team to allow the country to come out of the shadow of it's huge fighting game culture.
