Holy the guy is really into it, props to him, he might not have been the greatest Tracer, and he surely has an attitude, but he's honestly one of the most interesting youtube content creators on the OWL.

some surprisingly nice content. interesting to hear from the korean perspective.
honestly not shocked that boosting is so popular among pro players. it's really easy to do and there's a lot of money in it. there are companies and then there are just forums for it, where some "reputable" boosters can guarantee boosts to SRs like 4600, which clearly can't just be any random pubber. probably requires some proactivity from blizzard

I'd say that yes Blizzard should be looking into it, the risk, as the guy on mykL video's says, is risking the burnout of the whole scene.

On a personal level match fixing and boosting appear to me as 2 quite different things, but everytime these arguments pop up, remind me of "old" sports scandals,

In this case when the guy says that the vast majority of the pros do some boosting for money, I believe him, as it reminds me of late nienties doping arguments in cycling.

Yes different sports, different kind of issue, one is cheating the other is making extra money on the side by breaking rules, but whoever had some direct knowledge of cycling (not so difficult in Italy, I had a trial myself for a team when I was 13 and I sucked hard lol) perfectly knew that every single pro was dabbling with doping in some kind or form.

"He does it, why shouldn't I? And if I don't I'm screwed"... sigh

This hating on Kyky makes me really sad, every player said Kyky is not the problem and aKm said their strategy is sound, they just lack execution and what has the coach to do with execution, these things take time

It seems pretty obvious to me that DF are having a communication issue and they believe that Taimou's communication is more important than Cocco's skills, everybody jumping to guns without having a full grasp of what's happening in scrims and comms is killing me

Venting on Twitter wasn't the right call for Kyky, that's for sure. Okay he's a human being but he's also a coach and a grown up, whatever the pressure he should never resort to that. But I don't think mykL should be following the hate train, and out of the 4 tweets of Kyky he only screenshotted 3, leaving out the most important, the one that created the whole controversy : "So keep it at that."

As much as I don't like this Jimmy Vesel individual, I think he has a point : DF should communicate more to theirs fans. The only thing we can do is wait for the next "On the Watch" episode

So sure there is "some" content in this video, but still, the clickbait title (at least he stopped usings caps) and following the hate train makes it clear he's looking to appeal to the crowds, but hey, the guy's just trying to make a living

But that's part of the issue, they release them 2-3 weeks late, by the time those vids come out the issues are already somewhere else, with all the focus on visibility OWL has, it's mindblowing how some of these teams don't put "enough effort" in it.

I'm pretty sure I saw a job post for social media manager in relation to Team EnVyUs, which I would imagine would also cover the Dallas Fuel, so maybe it's a lack of staffing that means things aren't communicated as efficiently as they could be
