Sort player names alphabetically

On the matches page it would be great if the list of players for each team could be sorted alphabetically. When thumbing through the Maps tabs sometimes the player names jump around for no reason, making it harder to tell if a player was subbed in or not.

FlagMeta is the name of the EU over.gg team. That's a betrayal. They are our ENEMY.

From a more professional standpoint, organizing players by roles of tank, flex, dps, and support with symbols next to it could be quite nice.

This. I wish the spec cam in game did the same. It's so weird when players on both teams are playing the same hero, but their character portrait in the overlay might be in completely different places.

I know players do swap roles mid-game, but it would be nice if the spec cam was dynamic and would swap. I think it would help new viewers, who maybe don't know each hero by name, or don't know who's playing what, to be able to compare what the teams are.

That's what the OWL site does and it looks pretty nice. https://overwatchleague.com/en-us/teams

There are lots of people behind the scenes for the site who help tick (keep track of and enter information) the matches. Most of the people enter the players in in this format:

  • DPS
  • DPS
  • Tank
  • Off Tank
  • Support
  • Support

An example of what I mean. None of SFS's players changed yet they keep jumping around.

We can go back and fix that. I'll get it done as soon as I get a chance

Hi, I'm the guy that normally sets up the rosters for OWL. Typically i set it up as so:

  • Dps
  • Dps
  • Flex
  • Tank
  • Supports

Some people switch the tank and flex, but it's generally that format. I based this off the team pages on the site, though I don't know why I put flex in front of tank, force of habit I guess. Recently I started to have a bit of fun with the rosters (if you see any of the Mayhem games you'll see what I mean) but the main purpose is to make the subs a bit easier to do on our end and the page a bit cleaner to view on your end.
