Has xQc brought Orisa Into the Meta??

So Orisa has a 900 shield every 8 seconds which refills instantly, and Rein has a 2000 shield that only regens when not used. Meanwhile, Orisa can do damage. Now, Rein is mobile and Orisa isn't, but with an 8 second cooldown that isn't too insurmountable. Having watched a lot of recent streams and vods xQc seems to be the main tank to have realized Orisa's true potential. His 4 kill environmental kill in HulkTastic was a good example of this (I know it was a friendly, playful tourny, but it still showed some of Orisa's potential in other more serious games). Is xQc opening the way to a new Orisa based comp?

I forgot to mention the important point that Orisa can deal damage, and use the important right click while having that shield up. Just furthering the potential of Orisa.

All the meta come from Korea, xQc just follow, like all the NA/EU players.
Being a good streamer is not like being a great player.

'xQc brought Orisa Into the Meta'
Wow! You are a true fan of him lol.
Not saying that you really think so, but even asking a question like this is ridiculous imo.

xQc did play a phenomenal Orisa. But a single player can’t create the meta. It’s a matter of how well a team can do in a tournament playing certain hero’s. For example- “Pirate Ship”. Don’t know if this has been used before, but team Canada were the first team I saw to use it. This then was adopted by every other team. It’s created. by teams, not individual players. Rjheyhong (yes I know that’s not the spelling) didn’t bring Ana into the meta recently, he’s just really good

The lesson from xQc is that Orisa is more viable than people think. However,he didn't just create a new meta.

The "Pirate Ship" thing not appear in tournament ... all the teams SCRIM. They certainly play this all the time on Junkertown, because it's powerfull. And, like lot of pro already say, Korea do the meta, others copy (for now).

Uhhhhh I think its the other way around. NA/EU are good at innovating but Korea perfects their innovations.

Again, NA/EU innovates the meta, Korea perfects it. This has been said dozens of times.

And a lot of analysts, casters and other people who can better see the league as a whole say that regions like China and NA/EU more often create new metas as they experiment to find what works and what doesn't.

Korea doesn't invent new metas as much as they practice them and find ways to both improve and counter them. Granted the speed at which they can used to something they've never seen before is scary so sometimes it might seems like they came up with it since they can just do it better than anyone else.

Not sure if you guys remember, but during Takeover 2, Misfits ran a "spam composition" against Hammers featuring most of what we know today. It included Orisa, Junkrat, Mercy, Ana, Pharah, and Rein. I believe this was post-barrier buff for Orisa, allowing for a more aggressive playstyle.

Mangachu is the true innovator. RNG was running Orisa in contenders S1 pretty consistently on Hanamura, albeit unsuccessfully (the team might've just been bad, though, rather than the strat). xQc is a very good Orisa, but he wasn't the first to play her in a tournament.

They don't need to follow EU or NA, they crushed them with every composition.
The best Korean's team adapt, the others teams look and learn, that's all.

I suppose I thought of it a little differently with xQc because other than with team Canada we haven't really seen him in a big tourny, he has played it a lot in streams, and suddenly I felt like I saw a lot more Orisa in the meta than I had previously. While yes it is team play, we all know that xQc can have a dominating personality, for better or worse, on a team. Also, it's worth noting that I am basing this mostly on the World Cup. I hadn't seen the games with mangachu bringing Orisa to the forefront. Just thought it was an interesting thing I noticed.
