LH 3-2

^Leetaejun's situation is pretty unfortunate, he has the perfect hero pool to pair with WhoRU

posted about 7 years ago

he's definitely been underperforming and it was clear he could become a liability after their very first series in apex s2 (esp compared to whoru). though i think there were multiple problems with LH's gameplay in this series

that's irrelevant though to my point. casters just need to relax. monte was brutal whether he was playing well or not and hyperananalyzed every mistake from only a single player

posted about 7 years ago

monte's rants about esca sound personal rofl. rags on him when he's finally playing fine for a series. kept reiterating a comment about him "dying before using ult" on anubis when an ult was clearly never needed in the eyes of anyone who has played the game before

posted about 7 years ago

i think ana being able to 1v1 every hero in the game was a problem to begin with

fucking finally

posted about 7 years ago

if every player in the tournament has the same advantage then what is the problem?

posted about 7 years ago

viewers losing a sense of proportion here due to little international tournaments

envy would stomp every NA team right now (aside from maybe rogue but there's nothing to sample from). tier 1 KR isn't comparable to tier 1 NA. might look like the same overwatch when viewing but it's really a separate league

also isn't hammers the team that had put up the best fight vs rogue thus far, only after swapping to 4 tanks? maybe that's old news

dps: vyolent

should be close. consensus seems to be that envy could lose dramatically but i don't think that's true. i think meta athena is a lot better than they're credited for and that loss doesn't necessarily mean anything versus LH.

also esca has been playing poorly this tournament. i expect it to become more obvious in a match as close as this and probably a liability

(rooting for LH ^_____^)

a potential alternative to reinhardt sounds cool. haven't played her but does sound insanely good in writing. each ability is unique and has a lot of utility

the games on the new patch will be complete shit. thx blizzard (once again)

friends with benefits

posted about 7 years ago

what do you base this from? clearly not from tournaments in this game.

KR plays fps games, just not the fps games popular in the west.

i worry that esca will become a liability in the future. can safely say LH is the best team in the world today, but individually he hasn't had great performance this tournament. i think it's only been fine so far because whoru is actually insane. i don't think this game even had to be that close

never watch moonmoon but have considered subbing for the dank emotes

posted about 7 years ago

have never seen a team play that aggressive in tournaments before. it's worked for them against both rng and hammers. makes me wonder if this game can be played a lot differently than it has been

C9 just seemed outclassed as far as individual mechanical skill. was very brawly like you'd expect but AFB came out on top of most of those brawls. they certainly didn't win through ult management/coordination at least

posted about 7 years ago

i notice the AFB dps just getting 0 heals during clutch situations

posted about 7 years ago

thinking C9 should win if they can win dm/skirmishes. imo AFB isn't a good team strategically and seem to have a poor sense for engagements

is BK out after this loss?

Immortals beat a bunch of T2 NA teams to win a LAN. Wow. Good job.

what do you consider T1, then? because envyus is the only NA team immortals hasn't beaten recently.

DoubleBlue
Wow IMT beat cloud 9 twice? It's almost like cloud 9 has beat them way more!

recent results should be prioritized over anything else. IMT has beaten c9 in their two recent most BO5s.

honestly expected this to be a stomp. looks like meta isn't as strong on payload but good games so far

recry has a sick mccree

posted about 7 years ago

i'd guess kongdoo 3-1, but AFB is a wildcard rn

posted about 7 years ago

nothing good ever comes from the overwatch reddit aside from exploits.

posted about 7 years ago

grim is on an entirely different level, such an underrated player imo. even when immortals were getting farmed on lijiang he was consistently lighting up the killfeed

hammers looking strong. so many PogChamp plays from jake on hog

i think 1-3-2 will still be popular and 2-2-2. i'm sure teams will try 3-1-2 and it probably won't work against teams of equal skill who are running 2-2/1-3.

more mccree and tracer/genji, winston, zen. maybe a widowmaker comeback?

posted about 7 years ago

really? i thought he was having one of the best performances from both teams. sick tracer and the only player that had a real impact while on widowmaker. though i agree playing widow overall is stubborn. by gibralter it genuinely felt like a scrim. suspect eu/na yearn for dps a little too much

posted about 7 years ago

conbox not a top team though i'd still expect them to win this match.

posted about 7 years ago

a lot closer than anticipated. good games

posted about 7 years ago

i actually can't think of a scenario where replacing kyky with gods makes sense. c9 already has two dps players who fulfill gods' roles/heroes. gods has been playing zarya but kyky was a great tank/zarya player, and c9's dps are mostly competent on tanks. unless 3dps is actually played, but if it does show up i think that's a huge overreaction to the balance changes. i'm of the impression that triple tank is still a thing in ptr scrims

look forward to seeing the new c9 in any case

lw 3-0 but it should still be close

how does this always happen

fps games are played in korea, just not the fps games you're familiar with. the highest level of korean gameplay competes with the highest level of western as far as "raw-aim." i've lived/played fps games extensively within both regions and what you're discussing is a misconception.

in any case overwatch will never be purely a first-person shooter. you may be signed up to the wrong game if you're looking for something reminiscent of csgo.

looks like LWR won't qualify again. hopefully their roster is reworked to that of IEM

posted about 7 years ago

thanks for this kinda resource. really nicely researched and compiled. appreciate the list of specific players and their gear/settings.. surprised you've managed to find all of this even for players who don't have an online presence

i've been meaning to upgrade my PC (i know nothing of PC specs/building etc) and i'm considering the listed prebuilt alternative CybertronPC Palladium, would i be losing anything major with this pc in comparison to the ideal build?

as far as feedback, nitpicking, but you could probably list Zowie FK rather than "FK1" specifically as best mice since the only difference between fk1+, fk1, fk2 etc is size

posted about 7 years ago

expected this. current LWR roster has insane talent but for whatever reason they don't seem to function as well as they should as a team. the roster in IEM Gyeonggi seems more promising perhaps? would be cool to see pine, awesomeguy etc play with the remaining players of LWB if the Gyeonggi roster becomes permanent

posted about 7 years ago

shakiness probably attributed to high sens, which seems a lot of LWR play with based on mousepad sizes
