As a Genji player, this has been one of my biggest complaints since day one. It has never made any sense that you can block rein hammers and sword swing but not DF's punch and it's finally happened.

This is just me posting my appreciation.

Hm, was that change confirmed? As a Genji lover I'm happy but it raises some questions for me about other deflect interactions like with Lucio boop or Rein charge.

Maybe this is them deciding to apply interaction rules on an ability v ability basis instead of ability "classes"?

yeah that's interesting in terms of lucio boop but I believe you've never taken the lucio boop damage during reflect but it still booped you which I think is still consistent with how it should work.

Rein charge should stay the same since it's a literal pin and not just a temporary strike.

and no, not confirmed. It could be a bug.

Genji doesn’t use a sword to reflect things, he uses a mirror

He doesn't reflect rein's hammer, just block damage. Good to see this exists now tho. I like that he still gets affected by the knockback, that's fair. Same thing with rein hammer.

OP mentioned that, it's the same for other melee swing effects, but this one is a bit different in that it's also a charge mechanic of some sort. I also assume he still take wall dmg if he gets knocked into one.
