4AM monkaS definitely worth it though
Winter Wonderland 2017
Grand finals preview in day 1 PogChamp
lol I guess London is underrated af now after GC Busan lost their preseason match.
VOD Life for one of the hypest games FeelsBadMan hoping for a Dallas 4-0 Kappa no Kappa
THE LUNATIC HAI (SD) VS. ENVYUS (DF) RIVALRY WILL GO DOWN IN THE ANNALS OF HISTORY
Please let Ana be in the meta for this one. Or maybe they can agree on a no Mercy rule
Dallas to lose its first ever season 1 OWL game BibleThump
DF is going to make an example of Seoul in this match. Would be cool if they put some kind of Hulk tribute on the Fuel's team jerseys/skins.
Gotta go to SD but if Taimou turns up more than in preseason and DF have a plan to deal with SD the last season of apex proved SD aren't invincible
I'm going to go with my hopes and dreams here. The Fuel seemed to be experimenting in the pre-season, so I'm hoping that when they come out for the reals they'll catch the Dynasty a little off-guard and win the first game. If, however, they take a game to "wake up", which has been their problem in the past, it will easily swing the other way. Hopes and Dreams, though! DAL 3-2 SEO.
I almost went to bed... but Taimou's beaming face gave me the strength I needed to persevere
I thought this was a meme at first but it's working so far lol. WTFFFF how??? Look at the fucking heroes they've picked. They have a fucking reaper and their support on Bastion. What is going on?!?! They don't even have a shield anymore?!
that match is already more HYPE than the last two put together. all these hero swaps!
I will admit it, Taimou is carrying really hard right now
ok, I knew Dallas was going to be good but they are curb stomping the clear favorite....
Anubis has been crazy so far, 4-6 right now. Junkertown was so-so though, SD had some very questionable choices.
I’m erasing this because my previous comment was idiotic
It's too bad Dallas doesn't have just two more Effects. I don't really know why they didn't play Seagull on Ilios to be honest though. I think that was a mistake. I don't know that he's a better pharah than Fleta but I'm confident he could duel him well enough to give Effect time to kill everyone.
I agree that seagull would have been better in that situation, the best chance of countering a pharmercy is with your own
The only problem is on Ruins you have to run effect on widow and Seagull just probably can't play Pharah and will be a bot but maybe you just have to cede that point and hope for the other two
I mean its not like seagull is a pharah one trick..
I mean sure, you can put him on the Genji but he's really not going to compete with fleta or munchkin on tracer or genji themselves especially with his weaker form on Genji lately.
It's sad but true. I don't think we should consider him as or expect him to be an OWL-level genji anymore. Every time I watch him I hope he can get better a bit, and back into tier 1 someday, but I just can't see any sign of that.
Not sure how much the new patch will affect the junkrat meta, but I'm afraid that when it's live he will indeed become a pharah one trick for Dallas.
Exactly put effect in tracer then have seagull on pharah I feel as if they would have better matched up to seoul
If they're going to run Junkrat and Roadhog, why not use the Seagull-Taimou combination that already won them a map?
Effect is insane. I actually think they might be under appreciating him because of Fleta. I think they are very close in terms of individual impact.
Agreed, if teams were reversed, Effect on SD and Fleta on DF, I'm pretty sure the talk would have been about Effect pogchamp and Fleta being under appreciated.
I like xQc as a streamer but he is so bad
xQc actually opened a lot of dive, Temple of Anubis being so close was thanks to him. Don't take me wrong Cocco is good but passive (different play style), but he ain't aggressive for the Dives like DF did with xQc. GG.
I hope DF will really start to practice some serious full dive, especially considering that the next patch isn't in their favor and dive will become the most powerful comp once again.
Back in the day they could say that their players aren't versatile enough for this, but with a 12-man ceiling OWL team they have run out of excuse. With dive comp, xQc can best blend his aggressive style with the team.
What makes you say that?
EnvyUs was known for not being a Dive team even on Dive meta, this game is the proof that with the new roster they can also Dive, and one helluva dive, unfortunately with xQc playing we lose the Cocco and Mickie combos.
I kind of get what you're saying. They just felt slightly off, like they weren't all 100% synced up with xQc yet. I don't think it was bad, by any means, but because they were playing Seoul, that slight off-sync showed up.
I think they left him in just because he is so aggressive, which is a better match-up vs Seoul than Cocco's play style. They wanted to dive/counter-dive rather than just get dove on with no counter.
really good series. seoul deserved to win imo. fleta on widow really slowed dallas momentum. wonder if illios would of been any different if seagull on pharah subbed for tiamou?
What a game I feel like Dallas was underperforming. Mickie, Chips (Mercy), Taimou, Effect ( widow ) and XQC could have done more. Many questionable decisions :(
I don't agree, when you play at your limits you are prone to commit more "mistakes" and if you still don't manage to win, it might look like you underperformed, when in reality is just that you were the weaker team.
Don't get me wrong Dallas is a strong team, and possibly still the best non-Korean one, but the gap with other western teams is closing, up until OWL they really only had 1 contender in the west and it was Rogue.
On the bright side (for non Koreans supporters) what should be arguably THE best team on OWL "barely" managed to win 2 of their matches, both this one Vs Dallas and the one Vs Huston, this looks promising for the league.
As mentioned above, you could also say that Seoul was just consistently a bit better than Dallas overall. Both sides had...questionable plays, but it felt like Seoul was the superior team when you look at individual plays and set-plays execution, more so than Dallas "underperforming", imo.
But then again I am a self admitted Seoul Dynasty fanboi so I'm biased.
Did Seoul make and subs during the game?
Nope they didn't, if you want they are brodcasting this match right now:
Was hoping for the fuel to pull it off but it could be argued that it was close. With fuel experimenting having xqc on so many maps and SD running the same players it could be argued that the future has higher potential for improvement on fuel as they get their players more lan experience. I saw around 360k viewers on twitch at peak for this match. Not bad.
I think they need to practice with xqc more. He is a really good player but its just a different mode when playing in pro games. If the team and him can learn the best ways to play together it should be really strong. But yeah Im not going to beat on it too much casue it was a really close series.
