Can't speak competitively, but it certainly seems to make pubbing a lot less obnoxious, you can't just run around murdering people anymore, you actually have to snipe and hit headshots. A lot of classes can now challenge widow and force the player to hit headshots in order to win, kind of like sniper in TF2. The changes don't seem drastic but they certainly help. I actually like nerfs like this, Blizzard has a history of over nerfing things into non-existence.

Unfortunately there isn't much to be done until a proper demo/replay system is introduced. The best you can do right now is have someone record from spectator in game running all max settings, which has it's own issues of things like latency inaccuracy and no client sound (I think). The sound is pretty superb in the game, especially the little hit boops are Kreygasm. As others said, more control over the HUD is also needed.

what about after mcrees right click, i see people right click, melee, reload, the time difference seemed negligible to me

I'm seeing a lot of people do this in the nerd MMR bracket. Does this actually do anything? Seems like same exact speed, ie only useful if you are actually hitting someone with the melee, or is it actually faster?

tf2s "competitive future" was like 5 years ago, and valve chose to support go/dota instead (and correctly so honestly)

between the hype of overwatch (young seagull getting those 10k viewers) and blizzard saying they are going to be focusing on the competitive scene, i dont understand why anyone would be interested in continuing to play tf2, the game stagnated long ago. that being said, i do think overwatch has a lower individual skill cap, but a higher team play potential with 20 classes or whatever it is.

also the fact that so many players got a 6 month head start (including sponsorships) probably will turn some people off

Hopefully this game doesn't become unplayable similar to what happened in CSGO a few times. The $40 paywall should aid in that, given that people are actually being actively caught. From my experience Blizzard has done a pretty poor job at detecting things like bots in other games, most bans are a result of player reports, so my hopes aren't exactly high.

Maybe someone can enlighten me but there is no LAN server support right? So you are going to be on LAN playing remotely on some Blizzard server, on launch weekend of one of the biggest games of the last century. Nothing can go wrong here.

the spam right click shit is pretty silly, how anyone who played widows mouse survived the closed beta is beyond me
