Yea, samesies. My two teams were eUnited and Rogue, I am currently looking lost for OWL.

APEX is a korean only tourney now, and the US tourneys are going to mainly be OWL, with each OWL location getting the opportunity to run Blizzard sanctioned OW events during the off season. I assume the rosters will be the the same for any of these tournaments.

Will be rooting for UK for sure in this matchup.

Just realized this could be the last time we see half these contenders teams play together, the ones that don't make the playoffs are being picked apart for OWL anyways. Thanks for the awesome memories GGs

Yea for sure. I am with you. The only thing holding me back from 100% envy is still some stupid hope that Rogue ends up somewhere. Envy has been my CS:GO team for years and I have rooted for them in Apex since season 1 (after Rogue lost haha).

I dont see how bringing tons of money in to make the best teams in the world and put them on the biggest stage in the world is a bad thing?

The best eSports tourneys are the major ones with all the best teams, always have been. And everything in this world is money driven anyone who tells you different is lying. No one is going to play esports and put on tournaments to lose money.

500$ prize pools and shit prizes is why teams have to have actual paying jobs on top of esports.

All the existing contracts are not OWL contracts. Blizzard has their own contract requirements and I am sure all the players would have to re-sign for OWL based on that. But there is also probably some sort of buy-out to take an existing player even if they are under contract with a non-OWL team. I would say its safe to say, especially with a guy like Seagull, money talks and if some team wants him bad enough they could get him from NRG.

So just curious to see what everyone else here is doing and thinking on rooting for an OWL team.

1. Rooting for an existing team (Immortals, Envy, LH, etc)
2. Rooting for a certain player(s) and whatever team they land on
3. Rooting for a team based on Location
4. Waiting to see all the players and teams to choose
5. Waiting for season 2 to see more locations get signed

I personally am having a hard time, I rooted for Rogue in NA and eUnited recently, and neither got an OWL spot (that we know of). And even though there are 9 NA teams, no locations are near me to root for. I will probably follow whatever team my favorite players end up on at this point, at least for season 1.

Would be interesting to say the least. A lot of these speculations hinge on whether players would be OK not starting. Also whether an org wants to invest big $$ on backups, since Seagull would probably be a large $$ contract.

Yea the talent between the two teams is insane, very intriguing as to what they will do with an OWL roster and all these players.
