Bit if NRG won and IMT came third then:

Col/kingdom/c9/nrg auto qualify, then:

  1. luminosity 200
  2. fnatic 140
  3. kungarna 140
  4. liquid 130
  5. immortals 130

So if NRG lose semi then Immortals qualify for sure.

If NRG win the whole thing then immortals need to win semi to qualify at the expense of liquid or win bronze to go to tie breaker.

Fuck it, it's starting anyway let's just see what happens :D

posted about 7 years ago

Yes.

But if NRG win the whole thing IMT would go to tie breaker with Liquid if they got third?

posted about 7 years ago

So NRG have to win the entire thing.

Immortals have to get atleast 3rd to force a tie breaker

While Luminosity and Fnatic are no guaranteed spots

I think????

40 points is right for fourth place though NotLikeThis

Edit: So NRG have to win the entire thing to qualify. Even if they come second they will finish on 120 points so will finish 10th

posted about 7 years ago

It has already assigned teams 50 points on the site for day 4

https://smash.gg/winterpremiere/standings/tournament/5788

Which i think may be causing the discrepancy?

"In the event of a tie in points the following differentiation process will be applied to determine who advances.
Head to head results
+/- differential
Tie Breaker Match (best of 3)"

I presume they will be applied in the order listed

First a continent, now an entire game?!

Haffi please stop all this bm, it is not appropriate.

Same completely spaced that this was coming up and blew all my money on a D.Va and Winston skin like 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to spend my entire paycheck on loot boxes :D

They switched roles at some point after APAC (Not sure exactly when) but have been practicing for a while with this set up. From what I understand they do not have a traditional single main caller but currently everyone contributes with enigma and numlocked doing a larger share.

The comeback PogChamp

The top seed from each qualifier goes straight to the final tournament, every other team in the top 8 gets points and can enter into the following qualifiers.

After all the qualifiers the 4 teams with the most points total will also qualify for the final tournament.

I think :D

Edit: Yeah, that's right confirmed:

2nd - 100 points
3rd - 50 points
4th - 40 points
5th - 8th - 20 points

NRG to win Group B!

He speaks basic French but is learning more from Rogue's coach

"Skipjack, the only non-French player on the new Rogue roster, knows basic French and is taking French lessons with Philippe “Lanf3ust” Rivian, Rogue’s coach, to better fit into the mostly French lineup."

Interesting switch up, i think it will take a while to really impact tgeir results though

posted about 7 years ago

Yeah, you're right. Pretty sure Australia took a point off them too if I remember correctly.

I meant to say "in the grand final", will correct now.

I think ryujehong said he went close to their spawn to try and hear what heroes they were on but got stuck behind some chair model and couldn't move out. So they just had to go with it and try and make it work

The ultimates were so good from uNFixed, shut down so many of Finland's pushes and earned them such a big time advantage.

These moves will probably screw up NRG's OGN chances but will definitely help them long term. Saying that, all these guys kind of know each other and might just click.

posted about 7 years ago

This would have been decided before the announcment, especially if they had to buyout clockwork.

Gods has been really good at the World Cup, I imagine it will not take him long to find a new team.

posted about 7 years ago

Honestly, i think numlocked will do great on lucio. He has the mechanical skill and game knowledge to play at this level. His main calls should be what takes NRG to the next level too, we might finally see them challenge for some titles

I think sooN deserved a shout above Taimou/Shadowburn. He was super consistent all tournament and even though the meta was based around him it was based around most reapers at the Overwatch Open. Mega impressive.

I feel like Taimou was really good but some of his picks were off in the final, stayed on Roadhog too long in the later maps. I didn't see much of FaZe's run tbh so can't really comment directly about Shadowburn's performance.
