Surely its just going to get to the point where you're keeping these players on hiatus out of practice you're just going to be much worse off as an organisation.

Such a fairy tale storyline for Runaway, those jumpers cannot go on sale in EU fast enough.

This will most likely go the full length I feel, with the way the map draft works boths teams should get comfortable picks.

People always forget how fast esports as an industry is growing. It's absolutely huge; almost over $1 billion dollar industry across the board and increasing every year. The debate as to whether the city spots are worth the price point is up for debate but I think its completely understandable seeing general investments pour in.

NiP looking better on Kings Row compared to yesterday, showing more options than just triple tanks. Good showing after they've come out of hibernation!

I thought Lucio was in a pretty good place right now, admittedly its a bit brain dead to play him but the high pick rate is a bit of a non-issue if they released other heroes with built in speed boosting capabilities.

Dive comp to be the only comp worth running it feels like if these changes go live.

All I want for Christmas is more international tournaments. So much talent in every region that would be gagging for the opportunity to compete and be crowned as the worlds best team.

I see your point but we haven't had an open international tournament in a while, the rankings system is already based of regional results, having more EU tournaments at least gives us a metric for that region.

Top write-up once again Sideshow, will be interesting to see how the rankings shift once EU get a few more tournaments.

Looking forward to hearing Achilios' casting in Overwatch, never watched League personally but he was one of the first guys to give me a full on VOD review on my casting.

Hoping the Koreans give us different variations on the meta, I have a feeling MLG is mainly going to be dominated by quad/triple tank because its the safest composition to run.

hello admirable, please stop referring to people as numbers it makes me think that we are only cattle to you

Disappointed with this direction they're taking when it comes to set maps, part of me wants to think they are using this as an opportunity to improve these maps by gathering good data on how they're played but even if that is the case, why would you ruin two tournaments for the players.

What's the talent lineup going to be if this is going on during mlg Vegas?

Edit: nvm didn't realise the ESL guys weren't attending vegas

Valve are the same with 3rd party dota tournaments, not afraid to shove out updates that break the current meta. From a spectator point of view I actually quite enjoy it in that you can see the meta change before your very eyes, the players I imagine must fucking hate it.

Nice insight, thoroughly looking forward to the event, I'm sure Hex will smash it.

Thoughts? I'm very skeptical until we get more details as it seems like they want to run with a similar model to the CGS league (way back then for CS:S).

However I think if any developer were to pull it off it would be Blizzard given the amount of attention and resources they are throwing towards esports lately.

I agree with Lunatic Hai being 3rd to be honest, Miro's Winston and Ryujaehong's Ana is actually really sick to see and they have shown to be top contenders with the best western teams.

The thing is Overwatch is massive, but it suffers from the problem that TF2 does where only a small percentage of the player base actually care about the pro scene enough to watch the games and follow teams. Putting big events in the client would be massive in getting the average casual viewer interested and I think this is probably the next step Blizzard will take in order for the comp scene to grow.

Another day another video this time looking at NRG vs Lunatic Hai map 4 of the semi finals at APAC, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF3dsAjX77o KOTH is a challenge to find positioning mistakes mainly because of the nature of spectating it (replay system pls blizz) so a lot of this video is focusing on ultimate usage. Hopefully someone finds it of use!
