this is 2nd thing/article/history i wrote first was about EnVyUs here

as before im terrible at writing so go easy on me

For the second team i chose the best european line up - Misfits. Unlike EnVyUs’s their story has as many victories as unfulfilled expectations and disappointing results and it all started on June 23rd when organisation from united kingdom picked up team Graviton Surge.

European roster consisted of two swedes, Zebbosai and Nevix, two frenchmen, Soon and Kryw german Skipjack and danish Zaprey. While their early results were not impressive towards the end of their adventure under grawiton surge name they managed to win 2 tournaments and 3 qualifiers in a row making them one of the best european lineups at the time.

After joining Misfits they continued good performance throughout july and august winning 5 tournaments and 3 qualifiers. September of 2016 brought changes to the roster as well as their biggest victory ever.

Overwatch Open which took place from 25th to 30th of september was the biggest tournament to date had the best teams from europe and north america and grand final between best from these two regions. Winner of this tournament was going to be the best western team, and to surprise of many it turned out by non other then Misfits.

Their way to the title was not easy as shortly before tournament begun they lost 2 of their players. Support zupray who retired has been replaced by Hidan on trial and ryb as a stand in took the place of tank player skipjack who due to mother's illness decided to focus on family for the time being. Lineup for overwatch open now consisted of 3 frenchmen Hidan, Soon and Kryw and 3 swedes Zabbosai, ryb and Nevix.

They finished the group stage in 2nd place after losing to rogue which roster consisted of 2 swedes in TviQ and Reinforce and 4 frenchmen in winz, aKm, uNKOE and KnOxXx and were placed against NiP with a finnish roster of fragi, zupphew, hymzi, zappis, mafu and kyynel in semifinals. They won 3:1 and proceeded to final in which they had revenge on rogue winning european bracket after nail biting 3:2 finish. In the grand final they were awaited by at the time best team in the world in EnVyUs with a roster of Taimou, Talespin, cocco, INTERNETHULK, chipshajen and HarryHook. Misfits shook the overwatch scene by winning 3:1 against boys in blue.

Still with ryb on the roster they went on to win Underdogs Season 1 and after Skipjack returned and replacing Kryw with COOLER DreamHack Winter 2016.

On December 5th a three way trade happened between Misfits, Rogue and Luminosity. SoOn, Skipjack and Hidan were replaced by Manneten, Zave, TviQ and Reinforce forming an all swedish lineup. While these changes were supposed to create french and swedish super teams only rogue fulfilled expectations.

2017 was a year of disappointment for Misfits. They dropped from APEX season 2 during group stage after winning only one match. After 4th place finish in Overwatch PIT Championship Zave stepped down and was replaced by Mineral.

In June they finished last in Overwatch TaKeOver 2 lan. They saw a light on the end of the tunnel on june 10th as they finished 2nd in Contenders season 0 qualifier but were quickly run over by train from which this light came as they finished 7th-8th in the playoffs.

But not all went bad for Misfits in 2017 as on July 12th it was announced they had purchased the Miami-Orlando spot in the Overwatch League. But to be competitive in Blizzard’s flagship esports venture they needed changes.

On august 13th Reinforce went inactive and Nevix left for Cloud9 eu on august 15th Zuppehw from team gigganti joined ending fully swedish roster, day later he was joined by CWoosH and Logix. As important as roster changes were role changes, TviQ moved to dps from flex and was joined in this role by logix leaving flex to Manneten and newly added CWoosH as main tank. At the same time Mineral became coach.

New roster consisted of Zabbosai, Manneten, TviQ, Zuppehw, CWoosH and Logix and had its debut in contenders season 1. After months of mediocre results expectation were low but the changes paid off as they won every single game barely losing any maps and finishing on top of european bracket.

With the Misfits looking stronger than ever they are clear favorites to win contenders season 1 and if they are be able to keep this form they might take a trophy in Overwatch League season 1.

Sorry I'm late, here are some questions I was asking myself after reading this :

Why did Kryw get replaced : he got benched by misfits for behaviour and differences in opinion (source : he talked about it on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/73t6xj/kryw_exmisfits_player_what_happened/ and Slideshow wrote a great article on your favourite website https://www.over.gg/2196/cooller-replaces-kryw-on-misfits-due-to-clashes)

What happened to Cooller : he was just a temporarily stand-in for dreamhack winter 2016 and quit overwatch for quake champions after its announcement

What happened to ryb after Misfits : he joined C9 one week after winning overwatch open. I've looked at the misfits match archive (https://www.over.gg/team/matches/76/misfits) and it looks like ryb arrived in the middle of the lenovo cup which means they qualified for OWOpen with Skipjack and won the finals with ryb.

How could they replace Kryw (flex) with Cooller (lucio) : Zebbo switched to flex

I also thought you went prety fast on the reinforce being kicked drama, here's a great interview of Reinforce where he explains a lot of things about misfits and what happened https://www.invenglobal.com/articles/3226/reinforce-during-the-latest-misfits-re-shuffle-i-specifically-asked-the-owner-of-misfits-ben-to-build-around-zebbosai-on-lucio
