AZK and Liquide future

As some of you might know, esl lifted ban of ex-ibp players from cs go and one of them is azk who is team liquids dedicated tracer but according to what he said on streams (also you can read about it here: https://dotesports.com/counter-strike/dazed-azk-swag-csgo-team-16118 ) he would like to make comeback in cs go.

Personaly i like current team liquid roster (also i realy like akm meme ;) but i digress) and i think they have potential but without azk they might lose one of their best dps, it also could be big hit to liquid overwatch division, one that might convince them to drop from overwatch

I would love to hear youre thoughts on this one

Aren't id and dahang going to represent liquid at some quake tournament. I could definitely see many of these players going to other games.

Plus if the team disbands, NRG are looking for a tank...

I mean, the pros all hate OW. Not many more than TL. They are all pros in other esports and all of them like their former esport better... TL breaks up for sure. Shadder, mesr and fury will all be fine and get picked up. I don't know a ton about Fury but shadder and Mesr are both two of the best at their roles in NA and maybe the world.

Unless TL is committed to OWL and decides to rebuild around those 3. Pick up 3 more Koreans or who knows.

I actually think TL will stay in Overwatch, they've invested a lot in the team recently, and with the recent partial investment from Disney, I find it more and more likely that TL will get an OWL spot. However, they'll definitely rebuild their roster around MESR, Fury, and Shadder.

Losing AZK wouldn't be that bad for Liquid, there are so many great hitscan/Tracer free agents that it'll likely end in an upgrade imo

Its not about players skill but chemistry in team so it realy isnt like you can just pick up good tracer and fill this whole, i also belive liquid will stay in overwatch they could just drop last 3-4 remaining players and rebuild team from ground up

I'm actually surprised that AZK wants to go back considering that ibp is still banned from majors and any team he plays in will end up being a farm team for other NA teams, guessing he is burned out of overwatch

I don't know why dazed would say he's planning on playing with azk if he hadn't already talked about it with him. Swag also said the same thing on his stream - https://clips.twitch.tv/PlayfulTransparentGoatChefFrank - so I imagine they talked about it. The difference is dazed said he's planning to play on a team with azk so he would know what he's talking about, slasher is just some dude who is knowledgeable on overwatch and has connections in the scene.

also if swag dazed and azk already have it settled why azk havent said anything?

All I'm saying is dazed and swag are presumably more in-touch with azk and wouldn't say they're making a team wth him if they hadn't already talked about it. Other people in the csgo scene have said that azk is interested in returning to csgo and all anyone has heard about azk staying in overwatch is one dude who isn't really connected to azk saying some words on twitter.

why should dazed and swag be more in touch with azk then someone who knows a lot of guys from the game that azk plays at the moment? coz they played togather OVER 2 YEARS AGO? also dazed doesnt want to play with brax and guess what? azk was just playing with him on his stream the other day so it looks like azk is closer to brax with whome dazed doesnt want to play

It seems like you both need to take lessons on the art of debate. Right now your conversations amount to little more than children squabbling as you throw insults left and right.

Make your argument, defend it with talking points, concede where appropriate, but more importantly, do it all with maturity and respect.

I take it with a grain of salt just because everything is implied and hasn't been confirmed by AZK or Liquid yet. I believe TL has enough money to enter the OWL, but I don't know what their intentions are. I wouldn't be surprised either way but the only question is what would they do about the possibility of still being banned at majors.

Please note that my CS:GO knowledge is very limited so I haven't been able to develop an informed opinion. This is just an interesting situation to me.

im not realy convinced by swag and dazed, they dont sound ike they know what they will do (dazed even said he will stay full time youtuber while beeing professional pro player AND become top 5 in the world in 6 months all of which all totall bullshit)
yes they played togather so i understand why people think they might have already talked it all over but they seem to forget that ibp got banned over 2 years ago in such a long time i dont think they stayed close

edit: as is pointed out in this reddit thread he said "might" so it sounds like they indeed havent talked it over

The title of that Reddit thread is ridiculous but that's just par for the course I guess. What i'm more interested in is both players sounding like it's already a foregone conclusion even though the only thing I've seen from the man himself is a retweet of the ESEA unbanning and this tweet: https://twitter.com/LiquidAZK/status/889501008715493377

The tweet itself doesn't actually confirm anything, but most people are implying it's meaning. Hard to tell how much consideration he's giving it..or if he's already made that decision but I can see why it could easily be believed.

I mean why are you so convinced they haven't even asked him when they are already making plans? Does 1 tweet from slasher really deny everything they said so far, maybe he changed his mind in the meantime, we currently don't have conformation one way or the other but I'm pretty sure they would have at least asked him if he wanted before talking about the team so much. Also what makes you think that slasher is so close to him if the guys that he spent like 2 years playing with aren't?
I'm not saying that either one is wrong but you seem to be pretty focused on denying what ex-ibp guys are saying.

What I take from all of this is that it's a possibility, but honestly until it does get officially confirmed it's not a foregone conclusion.

I won't be surprised either way but to me it feels like he might be leaning towards CS:GO, not that I put much stalk in a feeling.

Exactly what penda said, just because dazed isn't sure doesn't mean that he is lying, I'm not saying that AZK is confirmed on leaving overwatch but that he at least is thinking heavily about going back to cs considering that he must have talked to both swag and dazed about it, i'm not sure why you are trying to make it seem like they are not reliable sources of information.

but theyll lack tracer main not soldier (thats ids role), they both are great soldiers and good tracers but none of them is great tracer so i dont think its a good pick, sinatraa might be better (just for the roles in team to be cleare)

Dafran is a solid Tracer in his own rights on top of being a god tier Soldier, but I'm not sure they'd want to take that on right now.

I do think it might be less of an issue for traditional sport orgs like the ones in OWL since they've seen far worst scandals and those players often bounce back. But I do agree that Sinatraa might be a better bet just because his Tracer is so sick.
