Pretty much just bragging rights for KDP, and to possibly establish themselves as the best 2nd place team. Looking forward to the next phase, 6 of the eight teams are pretty solid.

Correctly said above, however, I do believe this sends Rogue home, shame they did not go further, but I hope they can sort stuff out with Nico and what not

Rogue was sent home when they lost to LH, since they lost the head to head against KDP. This game has no impact on group results.

Pretty much as said above, this game would've only had potential impact if rogue had taken 2 maps from LH (or won obviously), since they lost 3-0 this game no longer has any impact.

Mighty AOD can theoretically go through if they 3-0 KDP. Unlikely, but this match can still affect the group stage results.

Epic fight from a team that no longer had anything to lose after the 2nd map.

It really bothers me how OGN stacked this group for Rogue and AOD when it seemed like they would've made playoffs in the other groups. In general the other groups don't even compare in overall skill level. 3 out of the 4 teams have the same W-L record now but only 1 of them is making playoffs even though they all lost head to heads with each other (Rogue to KDP and KDP to AOD and AOD to Rogue). Number of maps won should be rarely used to determine who makes playoffs and yet that was a given for this group from the beginning. Hopefully next season it doesn't happen.

It's likely to happen again unless they change the way they make groups. Only the previous season's 1-4 teams are seeded, the rest are randomly placed so the chances of getting at least one group with more than two strong teams is high.

But yeah, had Rogue or AOD been placed in groups B or C they may have made out of this phase. However I strongly believe that neither would have made it past the double elimination format of the next phase considering the strength of the top teams right now.

How does this happen?

1-4 from the previous season get split up and the other 12 teams are placed randomly.

I was more referring to the score.

Oh..yeah I totally knew that...errhem.

The casters noted that while KDP's DPS were strong they often failed to protect their own backline. It's what both LH and Mighty managed to abuse to get the wins.
