Hello all!

OWForge is a tool(and framework) for OW enthusiasts, coaches and analysts. Made for strategizing, theorycrafting, testing out team fight routines and presenting your work to anyone in a clean and reliable manner.

It is a delicate piece of work, which has demanded careful design and tinkering for several months straight, before actual development was even possible.
A select group of professional Overwatch players and coaches(OWL/OWC/OWWC) are involved in the continuous development, as testers. To ensure for top notch quality any player would need from a tool as profound as the OW Forge.

One of the modes is in Open Beta right now, so that the public can test the standard build.
With this mode you can animate your strategies/scenarios for team discussion and presentations,
enabling a team leader / coach to work with the team without the fuss.

In the upcoming weeks the tool will gain additional features:

  • Triggers. (Setup scenarios to be triggered upon given condition to be met)
  • Saving / Loading a session.
  • Hosting online sessions.
  • Multiple sessions at once.

I am sorry to say that the Open Alpha has to wait for another day, something personal came up and it has slowed down the development process. So I was not able to complete a couple of tasks needed for the Open Alpha test.
I rather finish it up so your overall experience and work flow can be proper, then to have to chase the incomplete tasks during the test.
BUT no tears, the Open Alpha will be extended for an extra day to make up for it!

Bumped for the announcement of the second Open Alpha test.

This will be the last one before the Closed Beta, you can participate in the CBT by pledging at least 3 EUR and providing me with proof on the DISCORD.

Yeah that is right, the Open Alpha has ended.
BUT another phase will start soon, stay tuned!

The following features will be added to the new test build for the next Open Alpha:

Motion / Animation

  • Set up waypoints for icons to follow.
  • Plays / Pause or Stop motion.
  • Settings(Speed, conditioning, color coding)

Key binding
Set up your own preferences to enhance your work flow.

Yeah thats true, I've tried to only keep it to aerial/top views, for testing purposes. Since Blizzard has made the sky collision boxes, I am unable to go high enough to make proper views. BUT I will implement other views as well, later tonight I will upload new build incl. those views.

I am excited to announce that the OWForge's second Open Alpha test has started and will last until Tuesday 23:59GMT+0.
It is a tool for OW enthusiasts, coaches, team leaders and anyone who likes to get tactical.
My hope is to satisfy the need for a strategizing tool aimed at competitive Overwatch!
I aim for absolute usefulness, must-have and profound scheming, and would love to help any player, coach or analyst to be able to up their game and understanding.

A few side notes:

  • I did not create the images of the maps, these are purily used for testing purposes!

  • The UI was not the first priority for this test phase, but it has been improved and worked on since the last Open Alpha.

  • The UX is going to have to be the USP(Unique Selling Point), BUT I did not get the opportunity to focus on that enough yet. I would like to have a lot feedback on that regard as well, since it is the most important part of the work flow for users. My intention is to make it smooth as butter!

  • Do not forget it is a prototype, bugs may be present. Make sure to report them in the respective channels on the DISCORD!
