Runner has mentioned in a couple of interviews that one of the reasons why RunAway struggled during the Grand Finals was the duration of the event, some players were getting quite tired and some went into the event semi-ill.

This new rule could be used in such situations where a team member is starting to get tired during a long series, and can be switched out for someone that's fresh and has been watching the game from the outside and can bring new perspective.

Not entirely sure on how to feel about it.

The one thing eSports in general lacks is stability, people make life commitments, change countries to get into a roster, just so they get kicked or benched for a bad performance. With teams starting to have more than 6 members, i wonder if players are still gonna get paid the regular amount on their contract even if they don't play officials as often.

Someone that has been in the bench for a while will most likely end up getting cut.

I wonder if Envy will get a 7th member to deal with their struggle to adapt to the different metas and their lackluster hero pool.

This could create a whole new meta where teams use certain members only during certain maps and against certain teams.

Esca mentioned in his stream that in APEX Season 3 OGN will allow rotation of one member during a series.

It's a new rule OGN will implement starting next Friday.

Overwatch Team Tracker

After years of praying for Team Fortress 2 to grow and for Valve to invest on the competitive side both me and my best friend ended our Team Fortress 2 team and came to Overwatch. One of the things i was proud of on my TF2 teams was that i structured every little detail so that it was easy enough for the team to understand which errors were being made, which tactics we had as a team, what our results were and where we could watch said errors.

As i started creating our Overwatch team, i knew that one of the things we needed was a solid foundation as none of us had been playing OW for a long time. I had some spare time on my hand so i started working on excel and working out a way to make everything organized for everyone within the team.

To be extremely clear, while it works perfectly fine it's not that polished.. In essence it's just a spreadsheet.

One of the goals was for the team to be able to understand without a whole lot of effort which gamemodes or maps in particular we were struggling with, and looking into the statistics decide which VODs were worth watching or not.

The statistics are calculated in real time, as soon as you add a result it will add it to the statistics page where you can check your results, not only by Gamemode but by Map aswell

I made two versions of the Spreadsheet, one for my team, and a template just in case someone wanted to use it. I have been told that while the template is great, it's a whole lot easier to understand what you can achieve with it once you take a look at the actual spreadsheet we use for our team.

You can check the Spreadsheet for our team here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=17Hu6Y6SrOlwTTkSg49gbkoj3IgrWaGsyyibsgvzztcY

You can check the Template here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-yJ8mr_vJuug9nz4rRZ4A2StJV1I7Ba9doxur2wInXU

If anyone has any interest whatsoever on the Team Tracker, you can easily just save it into your Google Docs or Google Drive, and change it to your taste or needs.

Please be gentle and let me know how it works for you, If you believe there is anything that i could add that could help in the future let me know.
