There would literally be 0 point in releasing a player at this point in the season for performance issues. You'd just sit them on the bench if that was the case, because you can't replace them anyways. I'd say it's pretty obvious Rascal was causing other issues on the team.

It annoys me when the OWL announcers talk about how Lunatic Hai always had bad dps players until Fleta. Whoru was(is) pretty insane on genji.

I don't think people are failing to understand that. You're right, the law is pretty simple. But exactly as you're saying "assuming he did know her age". And I think we know enough of the story to guess that he did, but its possible he didn't, or was misled.

Absolutely. It sounds to me like the crime was done, and he will be punished for it. I'm more just exploring the morality or intent of his actions. Hoping they aren't as malicious as they sound.

We'll see how the investigation goes. For now, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt with the facts that we have. Everything else is just her word against his. She never told him how old she was. And she seems pretty pushy in those text messages in getting him to incriminate himself, by assuming he did know. There is also no proof that he knew she was 14. There is 1 message saying he knew she was in high school, and for all we know, that may have been the first time he realized she was 15 at the time.

I was marginally smarter as a 21 year old male. DK screwed up big time, and he'll have to face the punishment that comes with it. But none of these kids are prepared for how life changing this experience has been for them, and it seems to me that the OWL is doing a poor job of helping them through real-life. Most sport stars were pseudo celebs their whole lives, and figured out how to manage the expectations and popularity since they were young teens. Most of these kids in OWL are just figuring this out for the first time in their lives right now.

Anyone who pronounces it Brigita is a TryHard

I'm really interested to see some pro Doomfist/Brigette comps. Or even new Reaper/Brigette. Seems so strong in the right hands.

I think we all appreciate some of the unconventional comps LAG ran this week. Do you think this is helping them a lot in the long run, as far as making it tougher for opponents to prepare for them? Or do you think it really matters that much?

Custa nailed it on his stream. They wasted too much time practicing with XQC, just for him to get suspended (again). With map pools and changing metas, teams just can't afford to completely waste time like that. Nobody will sign him.

Are LAG and PHI going to be battling it out for best western team in stage 2??? Who saw that coming?

Babybay and Danteh are fine. Danteh has been improving quite a bit. Adding Sinatraa to their rotation will help a bit. Super is supposed to be good, but as mentioned above, Nevix isn't their weak link anyways.

Their supports are both below average, and as nice as Nomy is, he's currently bottom 4 main tanks in the league. If they could have grabbed Fissure, that would have made a huge difference.

I actually agree with you, but she's just not my cup of tea. I've usually preferred back line ranged hero's in video games. But I think a lot of people are going to love her and she definitely fills a needed gap.

No Buds? I never thought he was amazing, but he's always received very high praise from other OW pros. Did I forget that he isn't interested in OWL?

Good Luck!

I'd like to see him on LAG, actually. I think he could compete for a spot, or at least help increase the level of their current tank play.

So we should all unsub from him until he joins a team???

Think anyone will pick up Dafran? Seems to have turned around his attitude. Mayhem might be desperate enough. Dafran + Tviq would be interesting.

I hope they do. Every SHD game is absolute garbage right now. This is like if you put a WNBA team in the NBA.

Wouldn't want to play Dallas next week. They aren't going to be screwing around. Sorry houston.

Agreed. It is actually quite annoying when you hear pros talk about how bad Ranked is, on their streams, but are 100% part of the problem and are the only ones with the platform to actually make ranked better. I do see some of them doing their part, but this is just 1 example of many, of them making it worse.

Agreed. Agilities had some hero plays, and Snillo was just out of sorts. Sweden would have won if Snillo even played on Surefour's level of tracer, which wasn't anything to scream about.

As a Canadian and Surefour fanboy, that might have been the most exciting game I've watched. Canada Sweden should be good, but doubt they can win that one.

The only thing I can think of, is they are delaying their release until the day before blizzcon, so they can maximize "buzz" about their brand and rosters. If they don't announce their roster and brands tomorrow, then I don't know what to tell you. Because if they do it on Friday, nobody is going to pay much attention, since most people will be following blizzcon things or OW world cup, if they are OW fans.

This will be a fun team to watch. Will be tough to contend with some of the other rosters in S1, but look out in S2.

posted about 6 years ago

Yikes. Well these guys are going to make for some boring games. They aren't going to win a map the entire season.

posted about 6 years ago

Ya, the other day on stream, after Surefour hadn't streamed for almost 2 weeks, he said all he had been doing for 2 straight weeks was playing McCree, Soldier and Widow. So whatever team he's on, has a tracer and a genji, pharah, junkrat.

posted about 6 years ago

To your point 3. I would say Surefour has proved himself one of the best dps players in the world in various ways. But the old C9 team had so many issues over the past 6 months, its tough to currently rate any of them. Looking forward to seeing some of them in fresh situations and seeing how things shake out. I expect Surefour to Re-make a name for himself in OWL.

What purpose does it serve these teams to wait another 2-3 weeks before they announce their rosters? Is there some strategic marketing advantage to be gained? There definitely isn't a competitive advantage. Unless they are all scrimming in secret. But you'd think we would have more leaks if that were the case.

Surefour has to be on a team, doesn't he? At the very least, he'd be one of the best 3rd dps slots for any team. Similar to Seagull's role on Envyus.
