I don't even hate Berlinglazer, it's more of just a strong disliking of what he stands for. This new era of spammers first pioneered by HenBabyH and perfected by Delighted has ruined vlr. It feels like there are so many users that just mindlessly throw shit at the wall now on VLR and have completely lobotomized the website. This issue has gotten so bad that I feel like the only option to cleanse vlr is to ban all of these spammers which shouldn't be a problem, as they have thousands of posts, and I'm positive that at least one of those falls into the gray area of TOS but this wont fix the problem as for every spammer they ban 3 more will pop up. To understand this phenomenon, I feel like we have to look at the more psychological side of things. The truth is that our brains are fried. Our parents were right, and it is the damn phone. Short form content like TikTok and reels has completely cooked our dopamine receptors to the point that we're doing anything to feel a hit of adrenaline, and I'm afraid that VLR is Berlinglazers and other forms of nicotine. Every post they make gives them this thrill that they are addicted to. A seemingly harmless addiction, but for people like me and many others who actually want to have non-braindead interactions with others, this era of spammers has really made these types of conversations scarce. And speaking of interactions, I think that lack of human interactions is also a big factor in why people like BerlinGlazer exist. The valorant community has a problem, as anyone who is high ranked in valorant is chronically online to the point where their only friends are there online friends. I feel like this concept can be seen in the late CryoZanderDerekEnjoyer (CZDE). A few years ago, CZDE made a post talking about how he has no friends and how he feels that nobody in the world loves him, which is why he spends so much time on VLR and other forums. I think that many vlr users (including myself) are similar to CZDE where we spend so much time playing valorant and scrolling tiktok that we reach a point of social introvertism that we simply cannot return from. And honestly I dont think that this trend is ever going to slow down. Each generation becomes more chronically online than the next which in return makes us dumber and I'm not lying GenZ is the only generation to score lower on every intellegince matrix than the previous generation. This is honestly pretty scary to think about because it could be a very likely scenario that in some decades from now our society will regress to that of Ready Player One where everyone is just online and doesn't pay attention to the outside world. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that BerlinGlazer himself isn't an issue, he is a product of an issue that is spontaneously occuring in our society. So to conclude I don't think that we should ban BerlinGlazer, he's just a player in this fucked up game. To the people that have made it this far, the next time you see a BerlinGlazer or an Emea_is_poo_poo post, think about how you can improve your self to become the complete opposite of them. You may very well be taking the first step to a better future. Anyway thanks for listening to my ted talk! :)
