Nearly 70k viewers on official wc streams during france(rogue) vs argentina, thats preaty impressive and shows overwatch as an esport is doing well, lets hope owl is success (im not convinced by blizzard actions)

edit: at the moment of posting there are exactly 70 119 viewers ;)

I wonder what exactly got the numbers to go so high?

This is also not even a good time for western viewers. Just wait and see when the group stage starts to really pick up how many more viewers there will be.

last years wc also had a lot of viewers, prodably information in game at webpage and from comunity members (for example stylosa) combined result in such a high number of viewers

but last year they had blizzcon which i assumed was really promoting it. This time its just the group stages and its already pretty big

-over 70k during china vs thailand with peak around 72k
after match ended thai stream droped from nearly 11k to under 2k a lot of french already during this - over 9k

-for the most part around 60k-61k with peak of around 65k for france vs norway
increase in french viewers from around 9k to 16k (peak over 17k) interestingly nimber of korean viewers increased significantly as well still it was not enaugh to compensate for lose in thai and chinese viewers

That is impressive!

And I find the whole production being top notch. Really hope they will keep this up and improve upon it!

i was looking for something like this :) thx for link but i think todays matches are not listed yet (im 100% positive china vs thailand had more than 65k of hong kong vs norway)

chinese stream with bullshit numbers as alweys (790k peak on some chinese website and around 5k on twitch yeah seems legit)

but i actualy trust twitch numbers and dont think there are many viewbots
