bliz devs vs tf2 players

basically the first 6v6 competitive gameplay of overwatch. it looks pretty stalematey to be honest but hopefully it was just the maps.

opinions?

The AD maps seem a lot more prone to stalemates, not necessarily a bad thing though. Depends how it settles.

The devs have such a massive advantage though compared to other players. Give it time and players will freshen up the game quite a bit.

I think a lot of it is going to be "stalematey" in the sense that the defending team has a very good chance of completely repelling the attacks for a long time. But there is constant action going on; it's not like tf2 so far where a single pick is a cue to push so people will not even dare take fights in a hold. People are constantly going in, even on defense, trading frags and causing havoc. I think that's probably to do with the quick respawns on defense and the fact that the offense has to walk all the way there, trades aren't bad on def.

I've so far found it really interesting watching the "stalemates" as the attacking team sync ults and push corridors trying to give themselves an opening, change the composition to counter the defense and then push. Maybe it'll get more boring in time but I'm not finding it boring despite the slow overall pace of the game, because each individual thing is happening at a fast pace.

Suiciding in as attackers is also a good way to quickly build your team's ults up for a coordinated push.

Definitely not a good spectator esport
