Competitive Overwatch Views

I'm watching the Strivewire Monthly Brawl which hasn't even reached 1,000 views on Twitch. Which seems to be way too typical for most competitive Overwatch tournaments. Yet I see streamers daily in the multiple thousands. Why doesn't our community support competitive Overwatch more? This has to be a big reason why Europe hasn't created more tournaments.

Promotion for this event wasn't very timely, prize pool is low, top teams dropped out and it's only the group stages

Plus it's European teams which have historically not been covered well, leading to viewerbases not being built up. Even having said all that though, the viewership for Overwatch is definitely a key point that must be improved for its long-term health. It's early days, lots of time for it to grow.

At least it has more viewers than the ESL_overwatch rebroadcasts now
