I feel like there's a lot that can go wrong with that. I decided to come up with a random example:
i'll just go by map 1/2/3/4, no need to get too fancy:
Map 1: Team 1 wins 2 - 1, Total: 2 - 1
Map 2: Team 2 wins 2 - 1, Total: 3 - 3
Map 3: Team 1 wins 2 - 0, Total: 5 - 3
Map 4: Team 2 wins 2 - 1, Total: 6 - 5
Map 5: Team 2 wins 2 - 1, Total: 7 - 7

If i understood correctly, it's a Bo5, isn't it? what would they do in this scenario? and if they go another map and team 1 wins 2 - 0 or 2 - 1, it would have been 3 map wins to 3 map wins. the whole point of a Bo5 is that the number is odd, therefore it would never end in a tie. Adding in a "total round win" screws the whole system completely.
I think they're getting somewhere with this, but they're throwing map wins out of the equation and focusing solely on round wins.

"In the event of a draw (ex: Bo3):
Where it would go 2-0 -> 3-2 -> 4-4, it would go to a final KotH round or match, it would would be an exciting build up where it all comes down to this final bout."

Alright, maybe that would work.
