Coolmatt I can see because of KyKy and team USA, but if they're going for another tank then surely it'd be for an upgrade on Cocco, which Muma isn't. I can't think of many Western tanks better than Cocco, which is why I think they'll bring in a Korean.

If they're recruiting more players, they'll definitely bring in more Koreans.

Think you'll be struggling for a team then.

I'll be rooting for Misfits. Been a fan of them ever since the Nevix/Soon/Kryw dream trio. It's nice for me that they've finally started to perform with the new roster.

Can't see him staying on NRG. Think he'd of announced by now if he was staying with the organisation. Sinatraa and Hydration (rumoured to be on the roster) have also shit talked him at times in the past, so could see personality clashes with that as well.

This one is pure speculation, but I also feel like with the 12 teams in the OWL, Envy is the most likely destination for him. He's pretty much said that he's definitely going to be playing for a team in the OWL, and that it should be announced within 2-3 weeks, whilst Envy's owner has also come out and stated the they're going to be adding players to the roster in the near future. With how highly Taimou seems to rate him and how often they're communicating with each other, along with Envy not having a stand out projectile player, I figured this might be a logical move for the team. Granted he most likely won't be on the starting roster, which could just make everything I'm saying irrelevant if he's wanting to be on a starting team, but if not I wouldn't be surprised if this happened.

Anyone got any thoughts about it?

I originally said I'd find it difficult to support either a full NA or KR team for the EU spot, but any team with Birdring and Rascal in it gives me no choice. Buzzing.

January 10th 2018 is the kick off date. Not sure how I feel about the lack of teams outside NA especially because the inaugural season lasts 6 months. Nevertheless I'm still looking forward to watching this play out and I hope it's a big success.

I've never seen a team shut down both Miro and Zunba as well as Busan have just done.

C9 is now, without a doubt, GO.

Big Chris is gonna give Fragi some Rein lessons today Kappa.

Carpe is gonna make Mykl run all the way back to Colorado when this is over.

posted about 6 years ago

This'll be a good chance to see if GO's performance against Misfits was a one off or if they are one of the strongest teams in contenders.

eUnited really just don't give a shit anymore.

posted about 6 years ago

I think this is mostly down to the fact that Kungarna are sinking faster than the Titanic.

posted about 6 years ago

Kungarna without Babybay is like Real Madrid without Ronaldo. Mykl and Corey must be one of the weakest DPS partnerships you're likely to see in the professional scene.

If there's one thing I love the most about Envy, it's their entertainment value. Not many teams try as many optimistic comps as they do and actually have them pay off.

posted about 6 years ago

Can only imagine the teams have no say in what maps are chosen. If not, they're simply brain dead.

posted about 6 years ago

Wouldn't surprise me if Team UK just became an actual team now seeing as they're all free agents.

posted about 6 years ago

Best of luck against C9, you were nutty against Misfits.

TiZi and KoX are hard carrying right now.

Ey up. Your boy's finally got part of a nerd star. Buzzing.

If eUnited lose a map then sharyk needs his flag changing back to the Union Flag. The flag meta has screwed them.

Presuming we're excluding the already included cities, I'd just give one to the capital of every Nordic country in Europe (with the exception of Iceland due to the population) and throw in a German city as well. Think the US has plenty now, just give Canada a couple and NA is set. Would like to see OWL become fully global though and give Australia and Asia a few more cities as, after all, they did say they were eventually looking at getting 28 teams involved.

Stockholm - Sweden
Oslo - Norway
Helsinki - Finland
Copenhagen - Denmark
Berlin - Germany

Picking Volskaya against Envy is just asking for an instant defeat, probably one of their strongest maps in the game.

posted about 6 years ago

The rosters for the matches are created well in advance, so they've not been changed since the first week. Numlocked is playing.

I don't think it'd concern me as much if the camera work was a little better, but for example when I'm having to watch GB describing a Lucio coming out of spawn whilst on the other side of a map there's a Genji killing an entire team, it makes the whole experience even worse. Hopefully for the playoffs they'll have better camera work and Monte/DoA doing the NA side, because Bren and ZP are doing all the work.

posted about 6 years ago

I've tried my best to get behind the NA casters but it's really difficult. I've actually found myself muting the stream on occasions because they always seem (golden boy in particular) so far behind what's actually happening in the match. MrX I don't mind but Golden Boy is much better behind the desk.

KariV is gonna finally pop off for this one, I can feel it.

posted about 6 years ago

This will probably decide who gets the 4th spot in the playoffs.

posted about 6 years ago

I imagine it's just a lack of confidence. When your team is performing as poorly as Rogue are, you don't want to be the one making the mistakes and getting picked first. Before their slump, Soon would always be on the backline getting the first pick in matches and winning them fights. Now he'd rather just be a nuisance and hope that either AKM or Nico get the pick. It's a bit like Vallutaja on eUnited.

Hqrdest has unleashed his inner Taimou.

Big throw by Misfits but that defence was exceptional from GO.

I think it's safe to say TviQ still has the best Pharah in the world.

Envy 4-0 RNG
Faze 3:2 Rogue
Envision 4-0 Kung
IMT 3-1 FNRG

I think the biggest thing that'll come out of this is just how good Misfits are. They decimated Singularity who have so far destroyed both the Puppiez and the reigning EU Contenders champions.

posted about 6 years ago

It's official. Big Chris and Smex are Miro and Zunba in disguise.

posted about 6 years ago

Both Smex and Mete are constantly trying out do each other with who can get the worst gravition. Hard to decide who's coming out on top.

posted about 6 years ago

Those Misfits predictions are incredibly optimistic.

Will we finally get to see Immortals grab their first win?

posted about 6 years ago

Anyone else get confused by the map result layout? I'm used to Win-Draw-Loss not Win-Loss-Draw.

posted about 6 years ago

I can't tell if this is a meme or if it's serious.

posted about 6 years ago

They'll give them a match but Misfits are the Envyus of EU in this case. The way Logix and Tviq have been playing I just can't see them dropping a map.

posted about 6 years ago

4-0 Misfits. Don't think they'll drop a map this contenders, they're just much better than everyone else. Their hardest matchup left will be against 123 and I still think they'll 4-0 them. I've been really impressed with them, and I think give them a couple more months practice and they could be ready to give Envy a challenge.

Try being a Genji player. I've lost count of the amount of times my Dragon Blades are having no reg's.
