Four days since TviQ and Mendokusaii departed IDDQD the turbulent conditions at the top of European Overwatch show no sign of abating. Whilst speculation continues over the aforementioned parties, #FlatEarth have announced new additions to their roster in the shape of KnOxXx and numlocked formerly of G2 Esports.

In the lead up to the ONOG Invitational #FlatEarth had dropped their previous support, Vonethil, and brought in KnOxXx. As fate would have it Vonethil would go on to eliminate his former team mates from Overwatch’s biggest tournament to date having quickly found a new home at IMPULSE 11 (who only made it in when Melty eSports Club dropped out).

The other thread of the story picks up with Re1nforce departing in the wake of that disappointing ONOG result. The rumour mill would have it that he may be involved with a new super team in the making, but only time will tell where exactly he ends up. In the vacuum numlocked was quickly drafted in, reuniting one of the greatest partnerships in Team Fortress 2 history with KnOxXx.

GosuGamers spoke to Draceus, the #FlatEarth captain:

"We have been struggling for a long time to get a solid lineup but we have always had our core players. When re1nforce decided to leave us to join a new team we had a talk about what we should do about our lineup and what would be best for the future.

We spoke to KnoXx and he in turn brought on numlocked and after playing with them for only one day we had made up our mind. We are very happy with this lineup going in to the future."

The new #FlatEarth roster is:

  • Artur "art1er" Boxana
  • Jose Antonio "BromaS" Ramos Glez
  • Rasmus "Draceus" Waern
  • Jiri "LiNkzr" Masalin
  • Jean-Louis "KnOxXx" Boyer
  • Seb "numlocked" Barton
  • Michael "Mitsy" Debus (Manager)

Catch their first official tonight against REUNITED.gg in the GameOn Overwatch Arena.

Update: Mitsy also joins the team as manager, the role he previously held for G2 Esports.
