DPS ONIGOD , off-tank player NotE , support players Paintbrush and Closer , and flex support player Crimzo are now free agents, while tank player Trill announced that he is retiring from Overwatch and is moving to Valorant.

Closer joined the Fuel during the 2018 offseason, NotE was traded to the team in April 2019, and Trill was promoted to the team from Envy a month later. Crimzo himself was promoted from Envy during the 2019 offseason, Paintbrush was traded to the team from the Los Angeles Gladiators in June, and ONIGOD was signed later that month.

The massive change comes after the Fuel finished 13th in the 2020 regular season and were eliminated in the second round of play-ins in the North American playoffs. Earlier this month, assistant coach Vol’Jin parted ways with the team, and uNKOE indicated that he is moving to Valorant.

The team currently has three players left on the team as well as interim head coach Yong.
