Four days ago Luminosity Gaming finished in 9th-12th place (5th-6th place within European region) at the Overwatch Open's main event in Atlanta after being eliminated during the group stage by the eventual winners, Misfits, to take home $6,000. Their only victory of the tournament saw them take down ANOX in the lower bracket 2-0 on Nepal and Route 66, but they failed to take a single map against Rogue or Misfits.

In an announcement cheerily titled "Overwatch coaching change! Now hiring!" the Luminosity Gaming organisation revealed yesterday that they are dropping their Overwatch coach Mikael "mkL" Skjønhaug, who has been with the roster since before they turned professional.

"Effective today, Mikael "mkL" Skjonhaug has been released from his responsibilities as coach of the Overwatch team. We want to thank mkL for all the effort and time he put into his role on the Overwatch team. He always maintained his professionalism and would be a positive addition to any team. Unfortunately, in this instance the team felt it was best to make a change. Teams interested in his services can contact him directly at mikaelskjonhaug@gmail.com

The team once known as 2sTroNk has been planning to relocate to a North American team house since they first signed with LG, but this was further clarified in the statement which mentions that the "team prepares to move to their new luxury gaming house in Toronto, Canada". So bear that in mind if you are thinking of applying for the two newly opened vacancies in the Luminosity Overwatch staff; Head Coach/Analyst and Manager.
